Grand Monarch filed bankrupcy sometime in 2012. All timeshare owners are still obligated to pay the Assessment fees every 3 months even though the company no longer exits.

Apparently Diamond Resorts purchased the 9 resorts previously owned by Pacific Grand Monarch Vacations. Here is where they are getting us- they will not offer us a buyout, our assessments will be going up and there is no guarantee with the 500,000 Diamond timeshare owners that we will ever be able to get into our 9 resorts, and if you want to buy into Diamond your looking at another $32,000.00.

I am very interested in pursuing a Class Action Lawsuit, we should not be in this position as timeshare owners without the option to out. I am willing to cut the loss for the purchase price of the timeshare so I am not longer responsible to pay the quartery assessment fees - however if we don't pay, we will be sued - anyone else see anything WRONG with this picture!!!!

Monetary Loss: $25.

Yes as a owner ,who got hit by a bus, and diamond wants us to rebuy what we already earn to joint their club..yea..count me in for class action law suit...how long will they continue to screw the little just trying to chill on vacation.

Here is the Attorney i used. I Recommended 3 other clients and all of us got out of our time share obligations..

It took around 8 month to get completed and the phone calls stop Immediately harassing me for maintenance dues. I paid 750 Dollars and didn't need to go to his Office.

Would some please share how you were able to get out of paying your timeshare? Screw Diamond.

I'm not buying anything else. I don't want to pay dues on something that didn't live up to their contract.

Its not we Think.. Its what you want out of it...

If you use it then its Great, but if you don't.. Why keep on paying. I threw away 15,000.00 Dollars paid in full. .

I loved my time share at one time. i used it a lot.

Went many places, but after it was sold to Diamond then it went down hill..So either pay the money and use it as much as you can, or get rid of it... Simple..

How do you get rid of it? Others have posted getting out but haven't shared how. Many of us here would like to get out.

Well I just attended a diamond international meeting I am a monarch owner one week paid for, as well as a Monarch grand owner one week paid for.Diamond wants another 20,000 which would give me 15,0000 points every year plus 1650 in yearly feesTo become a diamond international traveler? I don't think this is worth it? What do you all think?

Well I used to be a owner. I got out by paying a attorney a small fee to get out of my obligation ...

yes I did lose a lot of money because my time share was paid off In full.

I got pissed off when I couldn't get a reservation,but I could go to Groupon and reserve the day I wanted... I paided 750 to get me out...

I was stuck in the same situation, but I never purchased a contract with Diamond, I was a VIP with Monarch and to convert to Diamond they wanted $40,000.00 to change over I never bought in to Diamond, I hired a Real estate lawyer the lawyer, I stopped making payments did not want to send money to a company that did not exist after several months my Monarch account was dismissed did not affect my credit score nor did it show as a negative mark on my credit report.

Yes I am going through that same situation right now and even if you pay off you loan in full with Monarch you still need to pay assessment feed cause we are on there deed is but!!!!!! So pissed right now basically we are bound to them it's not right I am buying out right now not cause I want to but cause I don't have a choice the quarterly dues are getting ready to triple cause of what happened in Cabo San Lucas last year millions of dollars in renovation so now as owners we have to pay for it
